How does it work?
By using a combination of Red and Near Infrared Light, we can target the deepest layers of the skin, down to muscle and bone (including bone marrow) to stimulate cell activity with advanced rejuvenation and healing benefits. Red Light is absorbed by Chromophores resulting in increased cell regeneration and renewal to improve photo damage and wound healing. The Near Infrared light will stimulate complex cellular processes resulting in increased collagen, elastin, growth factor production and repair mechanisms.
This combination will significantly help to reduce erythema and swelling, accelerate healing and bruise resolution, minimise the risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and reduce downtime by an average of 50%.

FAQs
Do I need a course of treatment?
Due to the power and performance of Dermalux LED technology, in most cases visible improvement can be seen after a single session (subject to indication and severity). However as with many procedures, results are cumulative and lasting results occur over a course of treatments. With pain management and wound healing we recommend a course of 12 sessions, twice a week.
What should I expect post treatment?
An immediate relief from pain due to increase in circulation to the trauma site is expected. The skin may feel warm to touch and appear slightly flushed due to activation and increased circulation, this is a normal and transient response.
Do I need to prepare in any way?
There is nothing you need to do beforehand. We will make sure the area to be treated is clean and in some cases, exfoliated ready for the light application.
How long is the treatment?
Treatment will last up to 30 minutes. If treating a body part, you can bring headphones to listen to music or an audiobook whilst relaxing. You will be given dark goggles to wear so reading may be difficult. If your face is being treated, you will wear black out googles to protect from the bright light. We recommend taking some time out to nap whilst you’re under the Dermalux Lamp.
