How does it work?
The outside of the nostril is cleaned with a sterile wipe before a pen is used to mark a dot onto the nose where the piercing will go. This ensures the piercing will be in the correct place, it will not be pierced until you are completely happy. The hand-piece is used to pierce the nostril with the chosen nose stud in one simple step.

What do I need to do to look after my nose piercing?
Begin by washing your hands thoroughly, apply the After Piercing Lotion to the nose up to 3 times a day with a cotton bud. Whilst cleaning, rotate the stud a half turn only left and right. Ensure all cosmetics and makeup are kept away from the stud and take care whilst sleeping or removing clothes over the head. The nose stud is not to be removed or handled unnecessarily.
Can I remove the jewellery before the healing period?
Removing the stud too soon could affect the healthy healing of your piercing and you may struggle to reinsert the stud if it has not fully healed. If the hole closes up whilst the stud is removed, you will have to wait until this has fully healed before re-piercing.
Will my stud fall out?
The design and positioning of the Medisept nose studs ensure that the slightly flared post keeps the jewellery in place for the healing period.
Can I go swimming or do exercise with my new piercing?
Due to the nature of nose piercing, exposure of the newly pierced area to certain environments like swimming or sweat may increase the likelihood of infection. We would advise against swimming, saunas and hot tubs for the first 48 hours.
