What is involved in the Scar Minimiser?
The Signature Scar Minimiser is one of our Focus 15 Facials. We aim to deliver the most fantastic results focussing on only the most important areas within a small time slot. This treatment includes the medical grade iPixel Laser Resurfacing technology. This specific method works on effectively minimising the scar tissue and creating new, healthier skin.
This treatment has been designed for scarring anywhere across the face and body. We can treat deep acne scars, stretch marks and body scarring with this technology.

FAQs
Do I need a course?
If you have scarring, pigmentation or sun damage you will probably need a course of 3 treatments. If you just want to deep clean and freshen up your skin then a one off treatment would be great.
Does this treatment only work on your face?
Absolutely not! It is suitable for use all over the body. It’s especially good with the treatment of stretch marks (even old ones!) and scarring.
Does it hurt?
Pain tolerance varies from person to person. During treatment it can feel a little hot and scratchy in places. After treatment the skin feels as if it has sunburn. This feeling tends to disappear after the first 24-48hrs.
How quickly will my skin recover?
This takes time, depending on the quality and health before treatment. Generally full healing takes around 7-10 days. The healing is quite tough to go through – you will need to plan your events around the healing phase but it will be totally worth it!!
What do I need to do to my skin following the iPixel treatment?
You can’t wash your face for 48hrs! This is the toughest phase of the healing process. However once the 48hrs have passed you can then apply make up and wash your skin relatively normally.
Do I need a course of treatment?
A single treatment has an incredible result with skin regeneration and resurfacing. However for deep scarring and stretch marks we would recommend 3 treatments with 4 week intervals between treatments.
Is there any age restrictions?
We have age restrictions on all of our treatments at SKIN Lounge due safety reasons and the body constantly changing. iPixel requires a minimum age of 18 years old.
